2018 Quality Summit

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2018 AHQA Quality Summit a success! 

The AHQA Quality Summit offers a focused, annual opportunity for quality improvement experts from around the country to network with their colleagues, grow in their capacities as professionals, and learn some of the best practices being applied now in the field.

Peer-led presentations provide attendees the opportunity for in-depth interaction and discussion with experts and researchers, including other quality contractors, who are offering to share best practices. The 2018 Quality Summit featured an expanded schedule of peer-led sessions highlighting success stories across the health quality improvement community.

Julee Campbell, Lake Superior 

Julee Campbell is a Quality Consultant at MPRO representing Lake Superior Quality Innovation Network (QIN) in Michigan. At MPRO, Julee works on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Improving Cardiac Health and Reducing Disparities in Diabetes Care initiatives. She also works on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ Hypertension and Diabetes collaborative and Cancer Control programming. Julee received her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and also earned a certificate in global health. She is a trained Diabetes Personal Action Toward Health (D-PATH) leader and her professional focus areas include health promotion, implementation of evidence-based interventions, patient education and chronic disease self-management.

 

Jessica Dent, Healthcentric Advisors

Jessica is an experienced health care professional, with a background and education in healthcare management. Her skills and expertise range from practice management, project management, program coordination and EHR implementation. She is working towards her Masters of Science in Healthcare Management at the University of Massachusetts Charlton School of Business in Dartmouth, MA with an expected graduation date of May 2018. Jessica has spent most of her healthcare career in hospitals in both Boston and Rhode Island. Her focus shifted to quality improvement about a year ago when she started working for Healthcentric Advisors in Providence, Rhode Island. Here she continues to serve as a Program Coordinator on multiple projects. Jessica is passionate about the healthcare industry and happy to be a part of a community who is working towards bettering the patient experience. Jessica is interested in continuing to participate and learn how to improve and transform the quality of healthcare for both patients and providers. 

 

Amanda Ryan, atom Alliance 

Amanda Ryan is the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for atom Alliance, serving as the subject matter expert in medication safety and immunizations, and as a Diabetes Empowerment Education Program Lead Trainer. She is a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist and has additional certifications in diabetes care and immunization delivery. Her practice experiences include engaging with patients and providers to reduce adverse drug events due to high risk medications, assisting with care transitions between hospital and post-acute care, and providing clinical pharmacy services to long-term care facilities. As part of atom Alliance, her goal is to improve healthcare quality for patients by optimizing medication use, promoting diabetes education, and increasing immunization rates.
