Speaker Biography:

Carrie Adair is a social psychologist with the Duke Patient Safety Center who specializes in resilience for busy and stressed healthcare workers. Her research examines the psychology of burnout and well-being, enhancing relationships, mindfulness meditation, and emotion regulation. Dr. Adair received her PhD at UNC Chapel Hill, and she currently works for Duke University Health System conducting research, providing trainings, and developing personal and institutional tools to enhance well-being. Dr. Adair believes that the science of resilience has much to offer those who are feeling burned out, and she enjoys sharing empirically-supported strategies in her trainings.
