2002 Long Term Care Meeting

GENERAL INFORMATION

The target audience includes QIOs, state and national association staff representing medical directors, nursing directors, administrators, surveyors, consumers and consultant pharmacists. The meeting will include presentations on the development and selection of the nursing facility quality measures, the relationship of the initiative to the survey and certification system, as well as facilitated state-based group discussions designed to elicit lessons learned and recommendations for CMS and QIOs derived from the pilot state experience. Invited presenters include representatives from CMS, representatives from various stakeholders engaged in the pilot state projects, and various professionals from the long term care community.

Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor has been chosen as the official headquarters hotel for the national long term care conference, Partnerships for Success: The Federal Initiative on Quality Improvement & Public Reporting in Nursing Facilities. The Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor is located directly across from the Baltimore Arena, Morris Mechanic Theatre, and just a few blocks from the Inner Harbor, restaurants, shops, Raven's football, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the National Aquarium, and the Maryland Science Center.

Room Rates
The room rate will be $120 single/double. Reservations may be made by calling the Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor at (410) 752-1100. In order to receive the special group room rate, please mention you are attending The American Health Quality Association's long term care conference. The hotel is unable to adjust rates after check-in. Reservations cut-off is June 20, 2002.

Hotel Check-in/Check-out times
Hotel check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Checkout time is 12:00 p.m. Guests arriving before 4:00 p.m. will be accommodated on a first-come basis pending availability of rooms.

Hotel Cancellations
Individual reservations may be cancelled up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival, if cancellation occurs less than 72 hours prior to arrival one night's deposit will be forfeited.
