Topnotch at Stowe Resort and Spa has been chosen as the official headquarters resort for the 2002 AHQA CEO Retreat. Topnotch is in the heart of the Green Mountains, two miles from Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest mountain. Topnotch 120-acre resort and spa is nestled into a Vermont mountainside that magically balances a setting of natural beauty with spectacular landscapes. Acclaimed as a four-season luxury resort with a spa ranked among the nation's best, Topnotch at Stowe offers a style and service unmatched in the region. Spacious rooms and suites in the main hotel to luxurious townhouses - each with its own personality - Topnotch at Stowe has remarkable variety.

Room Rates

All room reservation must be made by June 3, 2002. Any reservation made after the cut-off date will be on a space available basis.

The room rates are: $230 (Run of House - 275/360 Sq ft.), $350 (Suite - 400/500 Sq ft.), $500 (2 Bedroom Townhouse), and $640 (3 Bedroom Townhouse).

All hotel rooms are decorated in European country manor style, with in-room libraries. Hotel rooms all have air conditioning, color cable television, full bath, nightly turndown service, and daily maid service. Room service is available from the dining room. Pets are allowed in the hotel section of the resort. You can stay in the main hotel just steps from the outdoor pool or in a townhouse with a sundeck and view the mountains. Some rooms have a crackling fire on the hearth and a personal library for bedtime reading. Others have a bathroom with a whirlpool, just what you need to wind down. Every room has plush terry-cloth robes to pull on.

Resort Check-in/Check-out Times
Resort check-in time is 3:30 p.m. Checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Guests arriving before 4:00 p.m. will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis pending availability of rooms.

Individual Room Deposits
In order to reserve a room and receive confirmation, a deposit of one night's room and tax is required at the time of the reservation. The deposit will hold a room until 2:00 a.m. of the morning following your scheduled arrival date. Upon arrival, the deposit will be applied to the last confirmed night of the reservation. In the event of any early departures, the deposit is non-refundable unless Topnotch at Stowe Resort and Spa is notified 24 hours prior to early departure and the resort can re-sell the room. Individual room folios must be paid at the completion of the stay by the responsible individual.

Transportation to Stowe by Car

DIRECTIONS FROM EXIT 10 - WATERBURY/ STOWE EXIT TO TOPNOTCH
After exiting at Exit 10; take Route 100 North for 10 miles; follow 100 North into Stowe Village and make a left at the blinking light; this road is the Mountain Road or Route 108. Topnotch is approximately 5 more miles on the right side of the road.

BOSTON 205 miles 3 to 3 ½ hours
Take 93 North to Concord, NH; then take 89 North to Exit 10 - Waterbury/ Stowe

NEW YORK and NEW JERSEY 325 miles 6 to 6 ½ hours
Take 95 North @ New Haven, Ct, take 91 North; at White River Junction, VT take 89 North to exit 10 - Waterbury/ Stowe

OR

Take New York Thruway to 87 North. Exit 20 at 149 East; to Route 4 North at Fort Ann; take to Whitehall and Route 22 A.; then to Route 7 North in Vergennes; Interstate 89 South in So. Burlington to Exit 10 Waterbury/ Stowe.

MONTREAL 140 miles 2 to 2 ½ hours
Route 10 to 35 South becomes 133; Route 133 changes at the border to I-89; take 89 South until Exit 10 - Waterbury/ Stowe. Note: During summer months, a short cut on Route 104 to 108 through Smugglers' Notch can save time.

BUFFALO/ ROCHESTER/ SYRACUSE - 8 hours
Take 90 East to Amsterdam, NY; at Amsterdam, take route 67 to Saratoga; at Saratoga, take route 20 to 87 North; Stay on 87 North until Lake George exit; after exiting, take route 9N; stay on 9N until Lake Champlain bridge, known as "Bridge to Vermont"; then take Route 17 North to 7 North; take 7 North to 189; take 189 to 89 South; take Exit 10 at Waterbury/ Stowe.

BURLINGTON AIRPORT 40 minutes
Left out of Airport to set of lights; take right at lights and follow signs to Interstate 89 South; stay on 89 South to Exit 10 Waterbury/ Stowe.

TORONTO 440 miles - 7 ½ to 8 hours
Take the 401 East to Montreal, see Montreal directions. Alternate Route: Often travelers will cross border in Cornwall and cut across Northern New York State on 78 East.

Airlines
Continental, United and USAir have non-stop and direct jet service from major U.S. cities to the Burlington International Airport, located 45 minutes from Topnotch at Stowe. Business Express-The Delta Connection and Northwest Airlink also provide non-stop commuter flights from many New England locations.

Continental Airlines
Continental Airlines is offering several types of discounts including Zone fares. You or your travel agent may call Continental at 800-468-7022 and reference Number: UJGH7P

United Airlines
To book your reservations call United's toll-free number (1-800-521-4041), you will receive a 5% discount off the lowest applicable discount fare, including First Class, or a 10% discount off mid-week coach fares, purchased 7 days in advance. An additional 5% discount will apply when tickets are purchased at least 60 days in advance of your travel date. Discounts also apply on United Express. Call United's Specialized meeting Reservations Center at 1-800-521-4041 to obtain the best fares and schedule information. Make sure you refer to Meeting ID Number 552TR. Dedicated reservationists are on duty 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight EST.

US Airways
US Airways is offering a 5% discount off the First/Envoy Class or lowest published fares or 10% off with 60-day advance reservations/ticketing, 10% off with 7-day advance ticketing for unrestricted coach fares or 15% off with 60-day advance ticketing. Dress Code
AHQA has designated the dress code for the 2002 CEO Retreat as casual sportswear.

Weather
July temperatures average high 81 degrees, average low 41 degrees and rainfall 1 inch. Visitors are most comfortable with a light jacket in the evening.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Welcome Reception (Wednesday, July 17, 2002)
Reception will consist of light hors d'oeuvres and wine. No bar will be provided.

Dinner at Trattoria La Festa Restaurant & Bonfire at Topnotch (Thursday, July 18, 2002)
Dessert will be provided at Bonfire. Cash bar will be provided at Bonfire. (See registration form for spousal fee, which includes Welcoming Reception).

2.5 Mile Winooski River Trip (Friday, July 19, 2002 - See registration form for fee).
All trips run rain or shine approximately two hours of flat, moving water with glimpses of Camel's Hump and the Worcester Mountain Range. Enjoy viewing local wildlife, swimming, picnicking, and fishing along the way. This trip is not recommended for children under five. Prior padding experience is recommended.

Spa Options
Topnotch at Stowe is also proud to offer Vermont's largest and most comprehensive Spa. In this 23,000 square foot facility, you can step under heated cascading hydromassage waterfalls and swim in our magnificent indoor pool featuring panoramic mountain views. End the day with a soothing massage, facial or herbal wrap. Experts are available to energize your meeting with group presentations in fitness, relaxation, nutrition, stress management and biofeedback.

Spa access for hotel guests is $18.00 per person, per day for all fitness classes, weight room and men's and women's lounge and spa amenities. Professional services range from $45.00 to $250.00.

Tennis Options
Tennis is available to your group at $30.00 (per hour) for court use and private/group lessons range from $60.00 - $90.00 per hour. One hour daily clinics are available for $25 per person (11:00 am - noon).

Equestrian Center Options
Horseback riding is available at our equestrian center. Trail rides are $25.00, and lessons may be arranged (price determined by ability).

Bike/Roller Blade Rentals
Rentals are available at full day, half day, and hourly rates from $7.00 to $21.00. Protective gear is provided.

Golf Options
Golf is available at the Stowe Country Club. Greens fees are $59.00 - $69.00 per person, and cart fees are $16.00 per person for 18 holes. Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more people.

2002 CEO RETREAT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Payment
Registration forms and payment (by check or credit card) must be received BY MONDAY, JUNE 3, 2002. Registrations received after this date are subject to on-site processing. Payment must accompany registration forms.

Cancellations/Substitutions
Only written cancellations received BY MONDAY, JUNE 3, 2002 will receive refunds (less a 20% registration fee). Refunds will not be issued for cancellations after this date. Registration fees for canceled registrants cannot be applied or credited to future retreats. Registrants who are unable to attend may send substitutions at no charge.

No-shows
Registrants who do not cancel prior to the retreat and do not attend will be responsible for the full registration fee.
