The Fairmont Washington, DC is the chosen hotel for AHQA Washington Week, July 24-27, 2006. The hotel is located in Washington's West End, near Georgetown and just a few blocks from the AHQA offices.
Hotel Reservations
Reservations will only be accepted via AHQA through our Registration/Membership Manager. As participants register for Washington Week, they will receive a sleeping room. Participants will not be able to make hotel reservations directly with the Fairmont Washington, DC. Sleeping rooms will be assigned to registrants on a first come, first serve basis and must be reserved via the AHQA registration form. Hotel confirmations will be emailed to participants by July 5, 2006. Hotel reservations must be received by close of business 5pm EST - June 23, 2006. Reservations received after June 23, 2006 can not be guaranteed the convention rate of $199 and AHQA can not guarantee participants sleeping rooms.
Each room reservation must be confirmed and guaranteed with a valid credit card on the AHQA registration form. The convention rate will be $199 single/double, plus 14.5% tax.

Concierge
The Concierge desk is located in the main lobby and is open between 7:00am and 11:00pm each day. Three of The Fairmont Washington, D.C.'s five Concierge are members of Les Clefs d'Or, the prestigious international association of Concierge who champion the philosophy of helping guests get what they want, how and when they want it. The Concierge staff of The Fairmont Washington, D.C. can guide you through the city, assisting with the following:
• Purchasing tickets to theater and sporting events,
• Arranging transportation
• Recommending restaurants and shopping venues
• Directing you to special attractions or events
• Confirming hours of operation for the city's most cherished museums and monuments
Parking
The cost for parking at The Fairmont Washington, D.C. is:
• Underground valet parking is $27 per day;
• Hourly rates are: $5 for the first hour,$9 for the first two hours, $12 if more then two hours, and,
• $27 after ten hours.
Driving Directions
From Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI)
• Exit the airport and take Route 195 (you will be on it) to Route 95.
• Take Route 95 South to 495 West (towards Silver Spring). This will put you on the Capital Beltway.
• Take Exit 33 (Connecticut Avenue, South) for approximately 6 miles.
• When you reach M Street, make a right turn.
• Continue almost eight blocks to 24th Street, NW and make another right, the hotel will be on the left-hand side of the street.
From Reagan National Airport (DCA)
• Exit the airport to the north. Follow the signs to Memorial Bridge.
• Cross the Memorial Bridge and stay in the left lane.
• Take the first 'legal' left turn onto 23rd Street, NW. It is not marked at 23rd Street, but there is a left turn lane. • Continue up to G Street and make a left turn.
• Go one block to the stop sign (this is 24th Street, NW) and turn right.
• Continue on 24th. You will cross M Street, NW.
• The hotel entrance is on the left.
From Dulles International Airport (IAD)
• Take the Dulles Access Road to Route 66.
• Take Route 66 East toward Washington.
• Follow 66 over the Roosevelt Bridge. Stay in the left lane of the bridge and take the exit for E Street. The exit puts you at 20th Street, NW.
• At 20th Street, NW, make a left turn and follow to M Street, NW.
• Make a left turn on M Street.
• Go four blocks and make a right on 24th Street, NW.
• The hotel entrance will be on the left.
From the North
• Take Route 95 South to 495 West (towards Silver Spring). This will put you on the Capital Beltway.

From the Northwest
• Take Route 70 South to Route 270 South.
• Take 495 East towards Baltimore.
• Take Exit 33 (Connecticut Avenue, South) for approximately 8 miles.
• When you reach 'M' Street, make a right turn.
• Continue eight blocks to 24th Street and make another right.
• The hotel and valet parking will be on the left side of the street.
From the South
• Take Route 95 North to 395 North (Washington).
• Exit at 8B (this will be for the Pentagon, Arlington Cemetery, & Rosslyn), a small sign will say 'Memorial Bridge'. Stay in the left lane.
• Cross the Memorial Bridge and stay in the left lane.
• Turn left onto 23rd street and follow 23rd Street about one mile.
• Turn left on 'H' Street, then right onto 24th Street.
• After you cross over 'M' Street, the hotel entrance and valet parking are on the left.
From the West
• Take Route 66 East (Washington). Follow 66 West over the Roosevelt Bridge (you really do not have an option).
• Stay in the left lane of the bridge and follow the exit for E Street.
• The Freeway will end at 20th Street, where you will make a left turn.
• Follow 20th Street to 'M' Street. Make a left on 'M' Street.
• Go four blocks and make a right on 24th Street.
• The hotel entrance and valet parking will be on the left.
From the East
• Take Route 50 West. Route 50 becomes New York Avenue when you cross into the District.
• Take New York Avenue West and make a left onto 9th Street, NW.
• Turn right on 'K' Street, then turn right on 20th Street from the service road.
• Make a left onto 'M' Street and make a right on 24th Street.
• The hotel entrance will be on the left.
Directions to the Hotel via the Metro
From Foggy Bottom Metro Station
• Take the escalators to the street level.
• Make a U turn and walk away from the escalators. • Continue to the corner of 24th Street, NW and make a right turn.
• Continue north on 24th to M Street, NW.
• The Fairmont Washington, D.C. will be on the left-hand corner After crossing over M Street.
From the Dupont Circle Metro Station
• Take the Circle South exit.
• Walk straight south on 19th Street, NW.
• Make a right turn on N Street, NW.
• Continue to 24th Street, NW.
• Make a left on 24th Street, NW.
• The Fairmont Washington, D.C. is on the next corner on the right
