Care, Office of Continuing Education and American Health Quality
Association.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES:
Attendees will be able to:
- Examine best practices within the SOW8 and apply them to one's own organization
- Identify methods to increase transparency in information available to beneficiaries and methods for their organizations to become more deeply involved with transparency initiatives
- Analyze steps to integrate quality improvement and HIT
- Outline strategies for motivating health care leaders to promote improvement
- Address health care disparities and list steps to improve cultural competency

New Orleans Marriott has
been chosen as the official headquarters hotel for the 2007 AHQA Annual
Meeting. The New Orleans Marriott is located in the historic New Orleans
French Quarter. Within short walking distance of all major attractions,
the Aquarium of the Americas, the Riverwalk, French Market, Bourbon
Street, and the Convention Center. For visitor information, please

The
room rate will be $180 single/double, plus tax.
HOTEL
RESERVATIONS
Reservations will be accepted through the AQHA registration process until January 8, 2006. After that date, participants will be responsible for obtaining their own hotel accommodations. The New Orleans Marriott may only be contacted after January 16th for sleeping room availability.
Hotel confirmations will be emailed to meeting participants during the first week of February. Once confirmations are mailed, participants may then contact the hotel to make changes to their reservations. For questions about hotel accommodations, please contact Amanda Scott (ascott@ahqa.org).
Each room reservation must be confirmed and guaranteed with a
valid credit card.

The
hotel’s
check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Checkout time is 12:00 p.m. Guests
arriving before 3:00 p.m. will be accommodated on a first-come basis pending
availability of rooms.

WEATHER
February
high temperatures average around 70 to 80 degrees and lows around 60
degrees. Visitors are most comfortable with light jacket or coat. An
all-weather coat will take the chill off evenings. Lightweight summer
clothes are recommended.
