Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality website contains numerous resources on health quality. AHRQ research provides evidence-based information on health care outcomes; quality; and cost, use, and access. Information from AHRQ's research helps people make more informed decisions and improve the quality of health care services. AHRQ was formerly known as the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research.

Health Resources and Services Administration assures the availability of quality health care to low income, uninsured, isolated, vulnerable and special needs populations and meets their unique health care needs.

Medicare.Gov is the official U.S. Government Internet site for Medicare consumer information. It is designed with the beneficiary in mind to offer a variety of useful and easy to read information about Medicare.

National Aging Information Center serves as a central source for a wide variety of information on aging for older people, their families, and those who work for or on behalf of older persons. NAIC resources include program and policy-related materials for consumers and practitioners as well as demographic and other statistical data on the health, economic, and social conditions of older Americans.

The National Guideline Clearinghouse™ (NGC) is a comprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents produced by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in partnership with the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Association of Health Plans (AAHP).

The Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) assures that underserved and vulnerable people get the health care they need.

The President's Advisory Commission on Consumer Protection and Quality in the Health Care Industry commission was created by President Clinton to promote and assure health care quality and protect consumers and workers in the health care system. Its web site contains commission reports, Consumer Bill of Rights and Responsibilities, and more.

The Quality Interagency Coordination Task Force (QuIC) works to ensure that all Federal agencies that purchase, provide, study, or regulate health care services are working in a coordinated way toward the common goal of improving the quality of care. The QuIC seeks to provide information to help people make choices, to improve the care purchased and delivered by the Government, and to develop the infrastructure needed to improve the health care system.

The SCRIPT Project works to improve medication management. Public and private sector groups were organized in 1997 to form project, initiated and currently funded by HCFA. The expected outcome of the project is the development of a core set of outpatient medication measures that can be used in a variety of settings.
