The American Pain Foundation is a nonprofit information resource and patient advocacy organization serving people with pain. The foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life of people with pain by providing practical information for patients, raising public awareness and understanding of pain, and advocating against barriers to effective treatment.

The Academy for Health Services Research and Health Policy provides a professional home and technical assistance resource for researchers and policy professionals. Committed to the vision of improving health and health care by generating new knowledge and moving knowledge into action, the Academy seeks to stimulate the development, understanding, and use of the best available health services research and health policy information by public and private decision makers.

The Center for Health Quality, Outcomes, and Economic Research at Boston U. Program focuses on improving the quality of care for patients in diverse settings with expertise in risk adjustment, developing episodes of care and medical informatics.

Centers for Public Health Research and Evaluation's objective is to improve public health through research and evaluation. We provide government agencies and the health care industry with high quality research services by focusing our wide range of capabilities on the problems surrounding public health and welfare.

The Center for Studying Health Systems Change is a nonpartisan policy research organization committed to providing objective and timely insights on the nation's changing health system to help inform policy makers and contribute to better health care policy.

The Center on Women's Healthcare Quality Assessment is a non-profit organization providing researchers and clinical operations administrators and staff access to primary care data collection tools designed and validated to evaluate women's health care quality. The Center is supported through a contract by the Office of Women's Health to the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

The Commonwealth Fund is a private foundation that supports independent research on health and social issues and makes grants to improve health care practice and policy.

The Duke Center for Clinical Health Policy Research (CCHPR) encourages the formation and implementation of sound clinical health care policies.

GW University's The Center for Health Services Research and Policy conducts and sponsors health services research and policy analysis on complex health policy issues.

The National Academy for State Health Policy is a multi disciplinary forum of and for state health policy leaders from the executive and legislative branches of government. The NASHP operates under the auspices of The Center For Health Policy Development.

The National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research and education organization made up of the nation's leading experts on Social Security, Medicare, and other social insurance programs. It does not lobby or take positions on policy issues.

The National Health Policy Forum (NHPF) is a nonpartisan education and information exchange program primarily serving federal legislative and executive agency staff working in health care and related areas. Project HOPE's mission to achieve sustainable advances in health care around the world by implementing health education programs, conducting health policy research, and providing humanitarian assistance in areas of need; thereby contributing to human dignity, promoting international understanding, and enhancing social and economic development.

Rand Health's projects address current policy concerns as well as the scientific basis for improving service delivery, system performance, and organizational effectiveness. Sponsors of RAND Health's research and technical assistance include government agencies, foundations, and private-sector organizations.
