Reaching the Non-Referring Physician

This audio conference will explore causes and methods for increasing physician engagement with the palliative care program. David E. Weissman, MD, FACP, will cover solutions that focus on education, marketing, academic detailing, systems change/quality improvement and peer review.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe key characteristics of a palliative care team that can inhibit
clinician referrals
- List three methods of physician engagement besides traditional education
formats
- List three methods of patient and family engagement that can assist
in motivating reluctant clinicians to refer to palliative care
