part of the the Nursing
Home Quality Initiative,
the federal government
is publishing information
comparing the quality
of care in nursing
homes within states
and nationally. Under
contract to the Centers
for Medicare and Medicaid
Services at HHS, Quality
Improvement Organizations
(QIOs) are conducting
statewide quality improvement
activities for nursing
homes around the country.
