AHQA does not collect any personal information from anonymous users browsing our website. Only aggregate data, such as the number of visits per page are collected and are used for internal and marketing purposes

To gain access to members-only resources on the AHQA website, members and other users are asked to register and provide limited information. These data are submitted voluntarily. AHQA asks users to provide their name, organization, business phone, and email. There are additional fields, which members can fill out if they so choose.

How does AHQA use collected data?

AHQA uses information voluntarily submitted by members and others customers in the following ways:

  • AHQA uses data collected to improve its own web content; to respond to visitors’ interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services.
  • AHQA also makes member contact information available through the AHQA Membership Directory to other members using the website and to those who register for its conferences. In addition, AHQA incorporates information users provide into hard copies of the Membership Directory that it provides to members and sells to requesters.
  • On occasion, AHQA may also provide limited data to third parties that offer products and services. These limited data include names, job titles, companies and business addresses, but do not include business phone numbers, business fax numbers, or email addresses. Users may request AHQA to refrain from disclosing the data it collects to third parties on the membership application form, conference registration form or any other form on which they are providing information. Alternatively, users may contact AHQA at ascott@ahqa.org or (202) 331-5790 to express their preferences
  • From time to time, AHQA may post online surveys designed to obtain data concerning substantive issues of interest to AHQA members, or to improve the quality of AHQA services. We may ask for contact information, which may be used to make follow-up contacts if necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings.
